Can I take the bus to British Columbia?
Hello,
I am planing a trip to British Columbia. I live in Quebec. I was looking into various ways to get there. I know the plan prices and driving myself. My sister took a bus to ontario a few years ago. I was wondering if there was a company that goes from either Sherbrooke Qc or Montreal Qc to BC? Transfers are okay.
Is this your first time going across Canada? If it is, DO NOT go by plane if you can help it. You will see nothing of Canada and not even get a feel for it in a plane.
The absolute best way is to drive if you can.When you are driving you can stop to see things that interest you. You will really know how big and diverse and totally awesome this country is.
My second choice would be to take the train. Best if you can afford to get yourself a berth – sitting up all night in a coach seat is a pain in the butt and the back and the neck and etc LOL You will miss the parts that you go through while you are sleeping but you will still get to see and feel the country.
Bus will give you the same look at the country that a train would only there are no berths and it can get cramped and uncomfortable. It is perhaps the cheapest way however. The good news about the buses – Greyhound Canada have very nice buses especially when compared with some of the broken down heaps Greyhound USA has.
If speed is the only important thing, then go by plane. Speed is the only thing a plane will offer you and they will charge you a lot of money and you will miss most of Canada.
This whole country is yours and you should get to see it. All of it if you can. There are places and people you will happily forget and places and people that you will be forever grateful to have seen and met. If you fly over it all, you will be denied that option. Do not deny yourself a great opportunity and a great adventure if you can possibly help it.

i will be staying at Holiday Inn , Midtown and will be arriving by greyhound in Montreal. How do I get there?
What would be the cheapest and easiest way to go from the greyhound bus station to holiday inn (420 SHERBROOKE W. HWY 2, QUEBEC ).
It’s about two blocks up (north) and a few blocks west. You could easily walk it. If not, a taxi shouldn’t cost you more than about $10.
